I am originally from small-town southern Ontario. I completed my PhD in biochemistry at the University of Ottawa with Xiaohui Zha before moving to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for a postdoctoral fellowship in the lab of Ed Chapman (HHMI). I joined the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at WVU as an assistant professor in 2022.  

Outside the lab: trail running, gravel biking, dog walks, listening to/playing music, reading books, petting cats, lifting heavy things
